Those who were lucky enough to see the British singer and songwriter Celeste live at one of her first performances in Germany at the Reeperbahn Festival at the Imperial Theater knew already at that time: Here announces a very great artist. Celeste already had songs like “Lately” or “Both Sides Of The Moon” in the setlist, which were perfectly balanced between the poles soul, jazz and pop, but above all she had this powerful, smoky, wise sounding voice despite her very young age at the time. At the end of the Reeperbahn Festival set there were standing ovations, as you rarely experience them.
But Celeste did not let herself be rushed and built her career at her pace: The debut album “Not Your Muse” was released in 2021 and convinced with great songs such as “Stop This Flame”, “Strange” and “Ideal Woman”. In Germany, she charted at number 6 on the album charts – at number 1 in her home country. It was the first time in five years that a singer succeeded in this placement in the UK.
Now their second album is out: “Woman of Faces” and Celeste promises nothing less than “the best songs I have ever written”. Many of their fans will sign it.
So you can be curious how Celeste will bring this music on stage on her tour to the album. In June she makes station in Germany and plays 2 shows in Berlin and Cologne.
