Eidola Release New Album, Mend

Eidola, the Salt Lake City-based progressive post-hardcore band, have released their new album, Mend, via Blue Swan Records/Rise Records (listen here).

Accompanying the arrival of Mend is a lyric video for “Revelation: The Infinite Beauty of Oneness,” which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/F46JLnDtiE8.

Andrew Michael Wells, who also serves as Dance Gavin Dance’s clean vocalist, and shares the distinction of being a member of both bands with guitar player Sergio Medina, says of the collection: “We are incredibly excited for the release of Mend. We’ve spent the last 18 months meticulously crafting what we believe is our best work as a band. Eviscerate and Mend encapsulate the finality of everything we’ve wanted to express in our decade plus of making music together, from the lyrical themes to the sonic territory we explored, this double album captures the most honest and diverse elements of Eidola in its entirety. Our effort was to create something truly timeless and we believe we’ve accomplished that here. We hope this album takes listeners on a journey of the soul and causes them to take pause in the chaos of modernity, look inward, and seek a greater understanding of all things in totality.”

The 13-song collection marks the band’s second full-length release in just nine months, with Mend serving as a brighter counterpoint to the darker 2024 collection, Eviscerate. While Eviscerate delved into themes of loss, grief, and despair, Mend embraces redemption and healing. This powerful duality, balancing light and dark, represents the band’s exploration of the human condition in all of its complexity.

Mend is available now: https://eidola.lnk.to/Mend. The album was produced by Stephan Hawkes (Chelsea Grin, American Me) and recorded in North Hollywood, Calif.
