Indie singer-songwriter, Eric Dash is thrilled to release his new album Bystander that is out now on all platforms.
Eric “Dash” Friedman is a music artist from New Jersey. He grew up playing all over the Philadelphia-area, finding his first success on YouTube at 23 with his single “One More Love Song”, produced by Jack Joseph Puig (John Mayer/No Doubt).
That led to Dash touring with Heffron Drive, fronted by Kendall Schmidt from Big Time Rush. He continued playing and opening for other acts such as Train, Nelly, Eve6 and The Janoskians
He recorded a full album with Jack Joseph Puig that was never released, and Dash began to produce himself. His first release artist release as a producer, Unspecified, was a singer/songwriter and alt pop EP that has garnered over a million streams.
He had a slew of released afterward, pulling from a few of the songs that were never released in recordings with Puig. But he started producing heavily for a bunch of other artists while he worked on a new band heavy album – Bystander.
Dash is an artist for the community. He’s put on so many live shows at his own home, hosting 100’s of people for the purpose of giving a platform to those who don’t have one. He’s hosted camps for over 150 music professionals to write songs and give people productions they wouldn’t be able to pay for. His band is his family.
Bystander is a lyrical tribute to who Dash is –an artist for other artists and an artist who dreams relentlessly. It was delayed for years because of technical issues but alas, it is here.
