This coming Friday, February 14th, Los Angeles band Marinero will release their new album, La La La, on CD/LP/DSPs worldwide through Hardly Art Records. This 12-track album features the previously released singles “Taquero,” “Cruz,” “Sea Changes,” and today’s single “Dream Suite.” Laced with harp and jeweled with Wurlitzer, “Dream Suite” is a love song for the down and out, for those struggling with letting go of their past in search of a brighter future. “Take a chance on something new,” Jess Sylvester, Marinero’s frontperson and creative force, sings, his voice gliding for a high note like he’s reaching out to grab someone’s hand. “Just keep holding on.”
To celebrate the release of La La La, Marinero will perform Live at Estuario In Los Angeles on Feb. 14th, Tunnel Records In San Francisco on Feb. 15th, and Econo Jam Records In Oakland on Feb. 16th. The band has also confirmed an album release show on March 8th at Permanent Records Roadhouse in Los Angeles—forthcoming dates to follow.
