Leprous’ new album, Melodies Of Atonement, is out now via InsideOutMusic (listen here: https://leprousband.lnk.to/MelodiesOfAtonement).
The album’s arrival comes as the Norwegian band prep for their first North American tour in support of the 10-song album, with the five-week outing kicking off on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Eastside Bowl in Nashville. Leprous have also created a three-part documentary dubbed “The Road to Nashville,” which launches tomorrow on YouTube. Additional details on how to watch and participate in a live chat can be found here: https://vier.live/act/leprous-the-road-to-nashville.
The collection has received tremendous reviews with Metal Injection saying “Melodies of Atonement is quite moving and dynamic, and it houses just about everything that’s made the group virtually unrivaled at what they do,” and Blabbermouth noting, “A precise and pristine dose of modern progressive heaviness that is genuinely worthy of the description, Melodies of Atonement is
the kind of immaculate statement that we expect, but this time Leprous are
really hammering it home.”
The album was recorded with David Castillo at Ghost Ward Studios in Sweden, mixed by Adam Noble (Placebo, Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Placebo, The Gaslight Anthem). The artwork is based on photography by John Dolan with design by Ritxi Ostáriz.
Melodies of Atonement is available on a variety of limited-edition vinyl variants, CD and digitally (https://leprousband.lnk.to/MelodiesOfAtonement).
