Northern California Playful Punk Alt-Rock Trio StrateJacket Announces Warped Tour 30th Anniversary Slots Performing at both DC and Orlando

“We are very excited to play Warped Tour,” exclaims Northern California’s favorite alt-rock/pop punk trio StrateJacket. “Back in 2020 playing this specific festival was on our imaginary list of things we believed would be impossible but truly badass if they ever happened. We feel honored to have been chosen for the 30th anniversary and we’ll play our hearts out when the day arrives. Thank you, Vans thank, you Warped Tour!”

Hot on the heels of the release of their debut album Bad Start (released last October via EDGEOUT), the band–Jackson Roemers (lead vocals/guitar), Fabian Angel (vocals/bass), and Nate Mangold–are continuing to add to their live performance repertoire after their vibrant live sets at prestigious festivals like SXSWWelcome to Rockville, Omaha’s KIWR’s Summer Bash (opening for The Offspring), headlining the Hurley Stage at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA and Sacramento’s Aftershock Festival in 2024. Before the band hits the Vans stage, they’ll also be joining up with the rising punk rock act Winona Fighter for a handful of supporting dates in California in February, including San Diego (February 22); Anaheim (February 23); Los Angeles (February 25); and rounding it out in Berkeley on February 26.

Bad Start captures the zest of young adulthood at its best. There’s the shout-at-the-heavens title track “Bad Start” (originally featured on EA Sports’ NHL24 Soundtrack in tandem with NHL24’s Playlist last year), the ultra-melodic “Be My Drug,” the propulsive, chant-ready fight song “End of Time,” and the newest single “Dreamcatcher” which features a killer bass line by Angel, all of which overflow with dark humor and contain the sort of electric energy that has hyper-charged the Bay Area’s punk and alternative scenes for decades.
