Powerful singer/songwriter from Jamaica, Queens, Ray Hodges is thrilled to release his Remastered version of his hit single “I Am King” that is out now on all platforms. The song honors Black Music Month, Juneteenth and Pride which are all a tribute to what means everything to Ray.
Ray says, “Over the years I Am King has grown in it’s meaning. At one point for me, it was a song for the future children of my family. A song that would be passed down to them and live on. But, it ended up becoming so much more than that, A reminder… To my color, my people, my creator with the earth as my witness. A reminder to our enemies, which harbor hate and ignorance, that it is coronation day for Black in this world.
