On Aug. 01, Sweeping Promises will begin a 42-date world tour supporting their amazing new album, Good Living Is Coming For You. Their North American tour begins in St. Louis, MO, with headline dates in Nashville, D.C, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and more. It ends on Sep. 29 in Memphis, TN, at Gonerfest. Following their North American run, Sweeping Promises will jet to the UK and Europe for headline club shows and festival performances at London Calling in Amsterdam and Pitchfork Music Festival Berlin. See below for a complete list of dates.
Sweeping Promises have shared live footage of “Hunger for a Way Out,” “You Shatter,” “Good Living Is Coming for You,” and “Eraser” from their recent Unacceptable Color performance, shot in their hometown of Lawrence, KS. Unacceptable Color is a live music channel produced by Caufield Schnug and Lira Mondal of Sweeping Promises, photographer and multimedia artist, Shawn Brackbill, and engineer brothers (and the rhythm section of The Get Up Kids) Rob and Ryan Pope. Their mission is to showcase underground music scenes that traverse and live in their ‘flyover’ territory. Previous sessions include Water From Your Eyes, Ata Kak, Zombi, and Night Moves. Combining thoughtful audio capture, spontaneous ‘live’ video cinematography, and site-specific scenography, Unacceptable Color’s video series spans world music, indie rock, grassroots punk, and more.
