Vendredi Sur Mer is so Positively Adorable

Like, when most people come to Colorado, they jokingly complain about how the altitude makes it hard to breathe. But when Vendredi Sur Mer mentioned it, in her adorable francophone accent, she went, “I saw ze mountins and thought yees, I’m home!” And that was the entire vibe she brought to Meow Wolf.

The stage added to the ambiance – if you know Meow Wolf, you know, and if you don’t, you should watch a video of it. It’s a dope art installation. And having European pop there, while wouldn’t have been my first choice, somehow ended up being appropriate.

Coming as someone who hates social media with a passion, apparently Vendredi Sur Mer is making huge viral waves with some older music. And that tracked because the majority of the audience was younger or similar in age to me, a rarity nowadays with concert tickets costing $100 per ticket. So they very clearly knew, and wanted, Vendredi Sur Mer. That’s also probably why they sung along.

But there was something so positive and adorable about Europeans visiting the mountains of Colorado for the first time. Especially because Denver isn’t the mountains, but it is to them! How great. How cute. How fun. How positive in a world full of negativity! Vendredi Sur Mer is just an adorable experience.
